Valuable tool

The GRAMMS database and available functions can handle an unlimited number of depots in any location, and is a valuable tool for the registration, control, analysis and reporting required during the process of container repairs approval, authorisation, repair execution, releases and refrigerated container monitoring.

Flexible set-up

The GRAMMS Database has been designed to conform as much as possible to International standards and guidelines, such as the ISO coding systems. The set-up is flexible in that it can be adapted to the individual needs of leasing companies or shipping lines, so that reports to the principal if required can accord with his layout and coding system. The system is based on the standard repair system and can therefore employ all extensive functions available there.

Miscellaneous functions

Next to the standard, the system caters for many useful activities and additions: warranty registration and processing; registration of range details by manufacturer; automatic repair actions, onsite quotation via PDA.This allows any technician to work on-site and build a quote straight to the database. The database contains manufacturer's parts lists, numbers and pricing so this can automatically be entered as you go.Also, you can see at any time container status ie: under repair, pre-trip, waiting for release or released. Again all these functions can be undertaken either in the office or at the jobsite.

Localised implementation

The GRAMMS database is based on the standard depot/repair system and is tuned to the specific requirements of the liner operator. This system has a wealth of functions available. Typically, we would investigate the specific requirements of the operator. The procedures and reporting requirements will then be implemented in the system. On-line interfaces with container control systems can be realised on demand.

Repair authorisation advice

The system can evaluate received details and assist in making the correct repair decisions. This process uses: the repair history details of the container concerned, general repair statistics and analyses, defining trends and average repair amounts, self-calculation of repair costs using standard cost details.

Remote Monitoring

With the step by step procedure from quote-pti-repairs-release-monitoring, it is now possible to receive required vessel, release number, set temp, container number and process your monitoring data via a PDA device and build a valuable history of temperatures for that particular release or container.

Access

Once you have your entry you can use the system from any location, your are not restricted to your office desk computer. This is ideal for when you are away on company business and need information. All you have to do is login anywhere there is net access.

Container sales

There is a specific area for advertising used or new equipment for sale or lease.

Invoicing

The system allows for invoicing of damage amounts to responsible parties. The costs of repair can be credited to the repair companies through self-billing functions.

Data collection

Any company/persons - from the depots to repair contractors, transport and shippers - can forward details to the database. This data is retrieved automatically and stored in the database. Details that can be stored include:
container details
container components
damage locations
damage types (codes)
advised repair actions
spare parts being used
quantities; price details
invoice information
images of specific damage or on-hire condition for latter reference when off-hire is required
releases
recorded temperatures
vessel spares can be accessed on line (this could be helpful for stocktake or repairs when at sea)
the database accepts all possible container types. All codes are fully ISO compliant.

Statistics

The system generates management information, such as:
specific equipment profiles can be stored online
average costs per region
average costs per location
average costs per operator
average costs per container
average costs per depot
total costs per container type/component/damage type
damage recovery by third parties and warranties
all aspects of reports can be viewed in, either in ledger or graph format
availability of containers at any location
release details
also changes can be implemented to accommodate some of your own requirements.

Customising

GRAMMS is so flexible that we can also incorporate your unique requirements. Logos and company details can be added making the branding of the site your very own
